Screening of the film at the Danish Film Institute, Cinematheque in almost a full auditorium!
There was great interest in taking part in "If Everyone Just Leaves" in Denmark and the following conversation with the Danish criminologist and researcher David Sausdal who works at Lund University, the Danish sociologist and author Aydin Soei and the director/producer Karin Wegsjö. Journalist Fadime Turan moderated.
Biggest thanks to all participants and especially to Fadime Turan who arranged everything together with Rasmus Brendstrup from the Danish Film Institute (Thank you!)
In the conversation, many hard truths were exposed about Sweden's total dismantling of social functions and privatization of the welfare system as strong reasons why the situations in our countries are so different. What we can learn from Denmark in particular is about how to work preventively and how to build networks and structures that do not let young people fall through the masks. (We can also learn from Denmark to invest more in culture and not least film - their government support for film is about triple that of Sweden!)
På tisdag den 13/8 kl 21.00 kommer "Om alla bara drar" på SVT, kanal 1!
En kortare version för SVT, 48 min.
Prezentation och intervju på TV4, programmet Nyhetsmorgon TV4, 13/3

The screening was co-organized by Mattis Vepsä (S) Justice Committee and Kristina Axén-Olin (M) Culture Committee with the help of Daniel Vencu Velasquez Castro (S).
After the screening, there were talks with the directors of the film, the participants, politicians and guests in the room. The guests from outside were representatives from housing companies, the police, the civil society, business, culture and research!
A special guest from Denmark was the sociologist and author Aydin Soei, who earlier this spring wrote the attention-grabbing article in DN "Sweden is about to make Denmark's biggest mistake with the gangs" from 6/4. It was a great screening of the film and the start of an important conversation between the different people in the room that we hope will continue!

Järvaveckan, initiated in 2017, was designed with the purpose of bridging the gap between citizens, politicians, civil society, business leaders, and governing bodies. It has rapidly gained a pivotal spot in the Swedish political calendar. Over the summers, it has facilitated hundreds of recruitments, hosted numerous political speeches, and featured performances by various artists.
It was the most beautiful outdoor screening in the warm early summer evening with families picnicking and children playing!
We participated in a seminar organized by Mamma United during Järvaveckan entitled "What happens if everyone just leaves?" a conversation about responsibility and trust linked to our film, moderated by the Anja Nordenfelt, the founder of Mamma United. Participated, in addition to Karin and Nazira, did Christoffer Bohman, security strategist, Skandia Ideas for Life, nders ÖsterbergA, chairman (S) of the development committee, Martin Fors, property manager at Einar Mattsson and Jonas JR Rosdahl from Gålöstiftelsen.

Film screening and talk at Fanfaren, Farsta arranged by the local politicians with Joseph Zamaniin lead. Important words shared after the film.
